Anger
When we lose a loved one, many people don’t understand the various emotions and feelings they go through. One emotion that many clients ask me about, is anger.
Why do I feel so angry ?
Anger is a part of the grief cycle, which is a forever revolving process of grief, I have written a post about this previously, just as sadness, depression and shock are part of the cycle.
So why do we feel so angry when someone we love passes away?
There are many reasons we have this emotion:
We may feel robbed of our future with that person, we feel angry that they have left us alone, we feel angry that they won’t see milestones in life, won’t see another Christmas or birthday. We may feel it’s not fair that this has happened and why did it happen, this manifests into anger.
Anger is a normal emotion in the grief cycle and we will feel this at various times throughout our grief journey.
Managing the emotion can be hard, letting out the anger can help
, distraction techniques may also help, sometimes, changing mindset too happy memories and thinking how lucky we were to have had them, rather than what we lost.
Remember though, it’s completely normal to feel anger, as it is to have so many other emotions.
Stay safe
have a good rest of week
